Photographing any animal in the wild is risky business, but photographing a black bear is really asking for trouble and sadly 22 year old Darsh Patel paid the ultimate price for this shot... as did the bear. After attracting the bear's attention to take a series of photo’s Darsh Patel and his four friends disturbed the animal in the Apshawa Preserve in West Milford and the 300 pound bear started to follow them. When the bear came within 15 feet of the group they split up and ran in separate directions, but when they met back up Darsh was missing. Two hours later police found his body with the bear lingering nearby, Darsh's phone with the photo’s on was also found with fang marks on it. Sadly the bear was shot dead by police.
